ITES actively recruits candidates from overseas and requires that all candidates register their interest online. Here at our website they can learn more about the Exchange Visitor Program (EVP) and check the basic eligibility requirements; they will also learn about the selection procedure and be invited to begin the application process.
Suitable prospective candidates are invited to join ITES staff at one of our information road shows, which are held in select international locations throughout the year. These road shows provide the opportunity to conduct in person interviews. Qualifying school personnel are invited as our guests to attend our recruiting events where they will have the opportunity to meet and interview candidates directly and even make contingent assignment offers on the spot.
Our interviewing and selection process includes practices designed and developed in conjunction with the American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA). This provides for assessment in the following four clusters:
- Working with Others
- Knowledge of teaching
- Knowledge of the Content Field
- Knowledge of Students
All candidates are personally interviewed, screened and evaluated by ITES staff before being assigned.
